Youth Peer Afghanistan Organization (YPAO) associated member of Y-Peer International and registered as a national non-profit organization with the ministry economy of Afghanistan since 2019.

Youth Peer Afghanistan Organization (YPAO) is the largest organization of youth-led and youth-serving networks within Afghanistan, working together with Y-PEER Asia Pacific and Y-PEER international networks and various development UN partners working in the field of social, educational, women empowerment, health and job placement.

Job Description:

To ensure the project financial documentation are well-maintained and up to dated.

To coordinate the organization’s financial operations through effective planning and leadership of all Finance Employees.

To be full up to date on all client contracts payment terms, ensuring timely payments/collections are received.

To be fully responsible for the administration of collection procedures.

Ensure complete accounting records of the organization are maintained, as required by law.

To implement local accounting procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations in close cooperation with all departments.

To assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports of the organization for the owners in close liaison with program staff.

To assist with the preparation and implementation of annual Audit in cooperation with organization appointed external Auditors.

To ensure the preparation and implementation of all necessary controls in order to safeguard the assets of the organization.

To ensure physical inventories of all supplies are being taken on a monthly basis and of all operating equipment on a quarterly basis in all countries from which we operate.

To assist the in the preparation of all budgets and forecasts in relation to present, future and prospective projects/bids.

To understand the organizations tax obligations, using the assistance of locally appointed auditors and or tax experts for advice when necessary.

To liaise with both internal and external auditors in compliance with the organization’s legal requirements.

To ensure QuickBooks are up to date and maintained in an appropriate manner.

To keep and safeguard all contracts, leases, insurance policies, licenses, and all legal and financial documents.

Job Requirements:

● At least 3-4 years experience in a relevant job

● QuickBooks and MS Office basic knowledge

● Fluency in Dari and Pashto

●Good communication skills and articularly in the local language (Dari/Pashto)

● Speaking and writing ability in English

● Good knowledge in the NGOs field in Afghanistan

● Good knowledge of NGOs taxation in Afghanistan

● Computer knowledge and skill 

●Ensure reports and other reports from the concerned supervisor with qualitative and quantitative information

● Knowledge on materials development

● Employee must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.

● Organizational and time management skills are needed to ensure programs are completed by the scheduled time.

● Must be able to adjust technical language and presentation skills for audiences of all levels.

● Interpersonal skills needed to work with a variety of people throughout the organization.
